Study Groups
Being involved with a study group allows you to delve deeper into God's word, and learn how to apply it in every day life while making meaningful connections with others.
Wednesday Women's Bible Study
Women’s Wednesday Bible Study is doing a study on David, Seeking a Heart Like His by Beth Moore.
This study will run on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 12:00ish. Anyone who would like to go to lunch afterwards is more than welcome.
Become a woman after God's own heart. If you've ever experienced doubt, temptations, inconsistencies, losses or anguish over family problems, join Beth Moore on an exciting and intimate journey to know King David, the man after God's own heart.
Please join us! We would love to have you! Contact Cindy for information or to sign-up.
This session will continue through May and take a break for the summer. They will begin a new study in the fall. Details to come!

Tuesday, May 5, we will begin our reading of Richard Beck’s Reviving Old Scratch: Demons and the Devil for Doubters and the Disenchanted. Beck is the Chair of the Psychology Department at Abilene Christian University and teaches a bible study at the local maximum-security prison. Beck’s book is about recognizing the existence of evil in the world and our call to resist. Beck’s blogpost about his book is HERE.
Sunday Servers
Being a Sunday Server allows you to deepen you worship experience, to serve God, and to get to know your fellow parishioners by working together. Our Sunday Servers, whether serving at the altar or behind the scenes, are central to our Sunday mornings.
Acolyte
Serve at the altar during Sunday worship about once a month. No experience necessary.
What is intercessory prayer?
Intercessory prayer is simply the act of praying for another. Our Prayer Team offers prayers as requested by our members and visitors. The need for confidentiality is a must.
Contact Libbie for more info on being an integral part of the Prayer Team..

CHANGE THE WORLD.
We support non-profit ministries that support what God called us to do. In addition to financial support, our parishioners volunteer at some of these organizations, including serving as board members.
- Boys & Girls Club of the Grand Strand - Their mission is "To inspire and enable all young people, especially those that need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens." They were established 25 years ago.
- Episcopal Relief & Development - They facilitate healthier, more fulfilling lives in communities struggling with hunger, poverty, disaster and disease. ERD takes an integrated approach: "We listen, learn and work together to build upon local knowledge and strengths that already exist. As a result, our partners and community members are able to live and sustain fuller, more productive lives."
- Fostering Hope's mission is to provide basic necessities for children in crisis situations. At Christmas time, we collect gifts for the children in crisis. Fostering Hope is located in Conway and primarily serves children in Horry County although they never turn down any child in crisis. You can also support them by donating to or shopping at their resale store.
- Freedom Readers - Inspiring today's youth one book at a time. - Mobile Meals - Serves hot lunches daily to those with limited finances or mobility in the Myrtle Beach area. The Episcopal Church of the Messiah has a long history of supporting Mobile Meals.
